The book concludes with ways chalk drawings can be used to excite interest in arithmetic, geography, and history lessons. The 27 different black and white plates in this book are meant both to instruct and to inspire. For ease of use, in this edition the text and the plates they reference are placed on facing pages, allowing the reader to refer to both at the same time (rather than having all the plates at the end, as in the original edition).
